Zimmer Durom Hip Lawsuit Filed First in Nation

The Maglio Christopher & Toale Law Firm has filed suit in Federal District Court against Zimmer, Inc. on behalf of a client with a failed Durom Hip Replacement Cup. It is believed that this is the first lawsuit filed against Zimmer involving its controversial Durom Hip Replacement. The Firm plans to file additional Durom lawsuits against Zimmer on behalf of other clients in the coming weeks.

On July 22 Zimmer suspended Durom sales following publicity surrounded its higher than expected failure rate. The Durom Hip was sold by Zimmer for use in younger, more active patients. Approximately 12,000 Durom hips were implanted in the United States. Click here for more information on Zimmer Durom Hip Replacement failures.
